The Industry–Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology, organized an Expert Lecture on 07 November 2025 as part of its IIPC activities.
The session featured Dr. K.V.S.N. Rama Rao, Tenured Leader, Brane Enterprises, Hyderabad, who delivered an engaging talk on the topic “Explainable AI.” The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty members of the Institute.
In his address, Dr. G. Chandra Mohan Reddy, Principal, encouraged students to explore cutting-edge technologies and create innovative opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Dr. D. Vijaya Lakshmi, Head of the Department, IT, highlighted the growing necessity of Artificial Intelligence knowledge for students of IT and CSB disciplines.
During the lecture, Dr. K.V.S.N. He emphasized that XAI is essential for building trust and accountability in critical domains such as healthcare, finance, law, and defense, where opaque “black-box” models are unsuitable without clear justification. The speaker also elaborated on the ethical and legal compliance aspects of XAI in modern AI applications.
The session was summarized by Dr. N. Sree Divya, Co-Convenor, IIPC, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. P. Chandra Sekhar, Convenor, IIPC.
